Cooked up some of those tasty HEB Brisket Burgers. I can’t believe how good these cook up like this. I did it at night when it was windy and cold (40*).
the pit boss held its temp good enough to cook them from frozen.
I haven’t had a problem starting it in freezing weather yet. I was cooking with it in freezing weather In February earlier in the year when it was new. Those look really good, will have to try burgers on mine sometime. And that cast iron griddle looks like a great idea too! Just curious, does your igniter work when it's 40 outside? I still have to preheat my 1600 PSE with a hair dryer when it's 40 or less.
Yep they came fresh in 2 packs and we froze them. I just ripped them out of the package and slapped them on. Since 2 were frozen together on the edge it made it even easier to get them on the griddle lolPut them on frozen, and they came out looking great! Very convenient, last minute option; no need to defrost ahead of time...I've never tried this.
Too bad we don't have HEB here in Tide country.Cooked up some of those tasty HEB Brisket Burgers. I can’t believe how good these cook up like this. I did it at night when it was windy and cold (40*).
Preheated the grill for 20 minutes to 425 with broiler closed then set them on the griddle frozen. Set the grill to 350 cause I had to take a 10 minute ride on the UTV. Always something interrupting my cooking lol
When I get back I realized I needed to crank the grill up to 500. Took longer to get them up to 180* cause of the cold ambient temp but the pit boss held its temp good enough to cook them from frozen. I wasn’t looking at the time but by reading the graph from the app it looks like 35 minutes for the actual cook time.
