Pellet storage in high humidity (SWFL) – pellets getting soft?

Former Florida resident here. Best to keep them in buckets as everyone has stated. I now live in Michigan where the humidity isn’t as bad (but sometimes is) and old habits die hard. I still keep them in a bucket. I rarely empty my hopper though as those seem to be fine. I’ll only empty the hopper when winter arrives as I use my Pit Boss less when it’s cold. I have used it in the snow before but it’s kind of a pain.

Here the away I decided to set this up.
I got a bucket with O-ring lid and fill it with pellets.
I usually buy 60-lb bag of PitBoss Competitive blend, so obviously, it will not fit in 5gallon bucket, so I put there as much pellets as it fits and keep them there. I store a bag of pellets in the plastic bin, so when my bucket need more, I add it from the bin.
