I am not into a heavy smoke flavor but just curious on this setting. I usually cook my ribs for around 4_5 hours at 225. When i start my cook, can i leave it for a hour on smoke setting then turn it up to 225?
Ok thx. I have seen that, but thought that was 5 degrees...Then adjusted up.
As far as the smokiness, I usually set it to the 225 and go for 4 or 5 hrs.
Every hour or so, I push the auger button for extra burn and smoke, push and hold for about a minute. It will heat up a little extra, then settle back down to 225.
Have not been disappointed doing it this way!
