@MikeInFla Nice run down on that butt. Looks like it just fell apart and I didn’t know pellet tubes could last 6 hrs.

So true on smoker tubes I'd get 2 - 3hrs tops on my Weber Natural Gas Grill before I graduated to my Pit Boss 850 DX. I couldn't get a good nights sleep when cooking a brisket. Up every 3 hours. Hallelujah to the 20 pound pellet bin !

Started the weekend off early here on beautiful Lake Murray SC. Temps 15 degrees cooler today. We threw on (2) - 3.5 lb ) racks of St Lous ribs on the 850 DX - Right ribs Sweet Baby Rays the left rack Japanese BBQ sauce smoked 6.5 hrs with BM Gourmet pellets. 190 - 270 wrapped in foil near the end. Add the fixings - the smoke and flavor was amazing!! A feast !! The Japanese BBQ sauce won the head to head in flavor. Try it !! My family nows says I should own a food truck. LOL !! Smoke On !!

I have a Pit Boss Navigator Series 6 Vertical that has a 75 lbs. bin. I also use smoke tubes depending on what I’m smoking. I have 2 of the 12” tubes that give me about 5-6 hours and 1 - 6” tube that gives 2-4 hrs worth of use. I use one or more depending on the meat I’m cooking.

Curious - What pellets get you 5 -6 hours in a smoker tube. Just checked my (2) Amazon tubes, both 12 inches, never got more than 3 hours with all of the Bear Mountain flavors. I would only light them from one end too. That's great !
