Working a pellet jam in my Titan auger. Does anybody have knowledge of the construction inside the auger tube - Guide vanes??

Hello all!
I am working to clear a jam in my PITBOSS TITAN. I have the auger screw out and looking down the tube from the top, the fire pot, I can see loose pellets down the tube, so it looks like they're sitting on the plug.
However using my camera and looking up from the bottom I can clearly see some pellets but also there appears to be metal or grey behind the pellets -see attached pic- I am thinking that these are possibly guide vanes for the screw? It appears to be located upstream of the hopper box, just after the screw passes through the hopper and picks up pellets.
Any Info out there on this?

Looks like a solid plug of pellet mush dried out. Dig that out clean.
