What wireless temp probe(s) to buy?

Meatsticks for me too, and they run sales pretty often. I have 2 of their older "4X" sticks that read internal temps really well, but I don't trust the ambient readings they give. No big deal because my 1600 PSE holds pit temps rock steady, so I don't need help with that. I also just bought one of their newer "V Prime" sticks, but haven't had a chance to try it yet. Supposed to be even more accurate, and better ability to withstand high ambients. Good luck with whatever you end up getting though, the main thing is you're gonna love the wireless capability!
 
Guys at Meater gave us a case of ProXl units at a show when they first came out. They were good enough that we use them a lot.

My buddy has tried a bunch of others but hasn't suggested we switch (kind of a negative endorsement?).

I will try to pass on some of the suggestions others have made to see if he has any feedback

I use TempPro. I have 3 probes and they all are dual temp readers I also have a TempPro instant read thermometer. Have had great results with them all. WiFi works well also.
 
About three years ago I bought an Oumefar TS-TP40 on Amazon for about $30. It has four probes wired to a transmitter which sends to a receiver. I avoided involving a computer or cell phone. It is similar to an Inkbird but less expensive. It has performed flawlessly. There is no signal fade anywhere in my house. I would buy one again. The ease of a wireless monitor on long cooks is priceless. It saves a LOT of getting up and checking.

Take a look at the thermo maven g2. You get two wireless probes , each with five internal sensors and one ambient sensor so it covers what you ask for. Also check Inkbird INT-12E-BW. Two wireless probes each reading four spots inside meat plus ambient temp.

Im on my 3rd typhur wireless. Warranty about to run out.
