What is the chain for?

Gday,
I've just bought a Pit Boss 1230g and there is a light chain with a wire, with a loop on each end attached to it. Its hanging from the front right hand leg over the gas bottle.....whats it for?

If your igniter for the gas grill doesn't work, put a match in the coil and light the burners manually. Instructions are in my manual for KC Combo. Should be in yours too.

That makes sense and It could be in my manual, didn't see it though...but .I don't read manuals as thoroughly as I should sometimes.....Cheers mate
