After replacing the RTD sensor in my Pit Boss Titan twice with no results on temperature swings and after giving up on trying to get the pellet hopper disconnected from the drum to replace the RTd cable Pit Boss finally sent me a new control board. I took delivery on the Titan in August od 2025 and the temperature swings started in August of 2026. I received tghe new control board from Pit Boss on October 02. The connections were easy since the wires are all color coded and the connectors will ony go in one way. My biggest issue was getting the control board out of the plastic frame that mounts it to the face of the pellet hopper and getting the new one in, Those little plastic tabs aren't as easy to use as the instructions indicate. Bottom line the new control board is in and my grill is now working fine. It does seem to me that a control board should last for at least a few years. From reading some of the blogs it seems that other Pit Boss owners have also had issues with the contrl boards. Homefully I can get through the winter here in New England with this one.
