Seasonings/Rubs???

I use SPGO (Salt, pepper, garlic, onion) a lot. Sometimes I add smoked paprika. If it's pork, occasionally I add honey powder.

We like SuckleBusters and Killer Hogs BBQ Rub. We like the sweeter/spicy side of spectrum. Most have too much salt for us, so we look for rubs with salt far down on the ingredient list.

I started out buying rubs from everywhere I seen a different one Ended up with two cabinets full.
Then I started making some of my own and realized most of the others are to salty. So I'm slowly culling them out.
I do like some of the Meat Church rubs and Slap ya Mama

We noticed many of the rubs we tried are too salty for our taste. I thought it was just me . Thanks for that.

There’s nothing like mixing or layering your own seasonings.

I have a pantry full of rubs. Tons of ‘em. I’ve tried all kinds. Some good, some just ok and some downright bad. I think I’ve settled on Killer Hogs from howtobbqright.com. To me, Malcolm has the best rubs out there. I didn’t even realize it was his when I picked it up at Walmart. I pretty much just use that exclusively now. After I used it I really liked it and took the time to read the label and I told my wife “Oh this is Malcolm’s rub, this stuff is really good”.

It’s all personal preference. Try a bunch and find one that works for you.
