RTD sensor replacement on Pit Bosss Titan model PB1600CST

I took delivery on a Titan in August of 2025 and it has been great. Recently the grill temp has been jumping all around. I checed the grill temp with one of the probes and an oven thermometer and they confirmed the grill temp was as set. Contacted Pit Boss and they said it was the RTD sensor and they sent me a new one under warranty with a new cable. Tried getting the pellet box off but couldn't figure out what was holding it to the drum after all the screws were removed from the front and back. Unfortunately all the you tube videos and googled instructions are generic and don't address the TitanThe titan is a bit different from the other 1600s. Has anyone else had this issue and does anyone know how to detach the pellet hopper from the PB1600CST Titan. Love the grill
and its features including the blue tooth feature.

Remove the lower access panel or side cover screws underneath/on the side of the hopper assembly using your Phillips screwdriver.

Locate the control board wiring. Look for the braided or thin pair of wires extending from the main grill barrel into the hopper housing.

Thank you cowboy 1955. I removed the bottom plate and the two screws on the front and back of the pellet box accesed the contro board. I found the braided cable but the pellet box has to be detached from the barrell in order to remove the old cable and feed the new one because the cable is tight between the pellet box and the main body. Also because the grill is double walled it is a very tight space. The sensor is located midway in the back of the smoker ratherthan on the left side like other 1600 models. Unfortunately Pi Boss doesn't have a specific set of instructions for this mode. Probably because it is so new.

Screws hold the hopper on
Empty it first and you should see everything
