Definitely going on my do again list. My wife really liked it too, and she is picky about her chili. Make sure you use a big enough pot it makes a lot.THANKS,THAT'S GOOD TO KNOW
Yes it makes a lot! But tastes even better the next day. I'm really glad you and your wife liked it!Definitely going on my do again list. My wife really liked it too, and she is picky about her chili. Make sure you use a big enough pot it makes a lot.
Everyone's tastes are different. You don't really taste the anise at all with all of the other flavor.i agree it's not a traditional ingredient but it did add another layer of flavor. Maybe try it with another kind of sausage. Recipes are guidelines anyway.Sorry, that recipe has Italian Sausage in it. No way it belongs in chili. I won't eat the stuff in anything. Can't stand the fennel, licorice, anise taste.
My wife hates Italian sausage, but really liked the chili. I could not taste the licorice like spice in the chili. I had considered replacing with regular sausage, but went ahead with the Italian.Sorry, that recipe has Italian Sausage in it.
