I recently inherited a PB820PS1 from a friend who bought a new grill. It was pretty rusted and dirty so I took some time to clean it up but one of the main issues is that the supports on either side that the heat deflector are supposed to sit on are completely rusted off. From what I can see these aren't sold as a replacement part since they are welded in. I have no problem borrowing a welder from my dad and welding in some new ones, but I was just curious if anyone knows if these are sold anywhere? If not, has anyone made new ones before and maybe has a template or any advice on making new ones. I can weld but I really haven't done much fabrication work at all.
I was thinking of just getting a steel rod of some kind and cutting it into pieces. Then tack about 4-5 on each side in an arch shape so that the deflector can rest on them.
