I've been using my Traeger for about 3 years (Pro 22) with great success.. plug and play... Over the weekend, Walmart was blowing out the XL1000 Austin Onyx for $280 bucks so I decided to get it.. without any research... So I come to find out that this PB Smoker is also a grill that introduces a hot spot issue. Seems that you can purchase a diffuser that seems to help out but I was curious if I decide to use that, do I keep the OEM heat baffle diffuser plate installed or should I remove that?
I look forward to my new adventure in the PB world.
PS: I will never use this thing as a grill, only a smoker.
thanks!
