Navigator 1230G low gas flame

Hi all, I have a Navigator 1230 Dual, whilst the pellet smoker side works great, the gas BBQ sided will only go to 200 to 300 degrees F. With the lid down it will reach 500 degrees. Does anyone else have this issue? Is this normal for a dual function? I have tried a few things like replacing gas hose snd resetting the regulator but no luck.
