Just got this beast an it seems they changed something or I’m missing something, but there is no rod to push back an forth over the ash pull out tray. Just the tray itself to pull out an empty. All pictures an videos I’ve seen show one

So know one has seen one without the rod in front to clean the ash?

I don't have this model but I would give Pit Boss a call and ask about it. If it is missing one surely they can send one out.
