Hey guys. New member here from WNC. I'm ready to purchase a Pit Boss pellet grill. I really like the features of the Competition Series but can hardly find any meaningful reviews on them. When I do it's on the 1600 which is probably more grill than I need. I was thinking the 1250. Most reviews out there are for the Pro series. What am I missing? Is the Pro superior in some way? Thanks for your help

Hey Dr. Z George from Massachusetts here. I started with a Pit Boss AUstin XL 1000 that I got from Walmart for just under five hundred dollars. Nice grill and it did a great job but after a year I decided that I wanted something more versatile and started looking at and comparing just about every brand and model on the market. Long story short I settled on the Pit Boss Titan competition series Model PB1600 CST. It offers 1600 square inches of cooking space, the barrel is double wall insulated, has a forty pound hopper, and the auger tube goes up at a sharp angle and drops the pellets down into the burn pot. The angle of the tube prevents the pellets in the auger tube from catching fire and burning back into the hopper. It also has blue tooth that you can connect to your phone to read and control the grill while you are doing oyher things. You don't have to keep running out to check the temperatures. The forty pound hopper is great for slow overnight cooking. I put a 10 lb Boston but on at 10:00 PM, went to bed , wrap and increase the temp to finish with still plenty of pellets in the hopper. There are three cooking racks and a number of different levels you can adjust them to. I looked at all the different brand many times over and kept coming back to the Titan, It is a heavy monster but it is all the grill I will ever need. Can cook for a large family gathering or just for my wife and I.
