Anybody using the 1600 top rack?

I currently have the 1150 Pro but am considering upgrading to the 1600 pro or competition series for the addition of the third rack. I know the top rack doesn't hold a ton because of the limited space, but I'm curious if anyone is using it for ribs? If so, how does it cook compared to the middle rack? I usually use drip pans on the bottom rack so I'm curious how the top rack does and if it cooks differently than the middle rack. Thanks in advance for any input!
