4 2 10 method

Just seen this on my goggle phone
To cook a brisket 4 2 10 method
Smoke 4 hours wrap 2 hours let rest 10 hours they say 145 internal temp
I sure as heck will call this method not accurate at all just like the 3 2 1 on ribs .
What's all your opinion on this
I never go off time. Just internal temperature 🇺🇸🇺🇸
 
The so-called 4-2-10 method was so-named by that Dutch guy, Pitmaster X or something like that. He named it that from a method posted by Steve Gow, a Canadian guy who actually knows what he's talking about. But 4-2-10 is a gross simplification of Steve's method. This was years ago. And Steve Gow has fine-tuned the method over the past few years, and it does work. His current updated method is to pull it at 195 followed by a long hold at 150.
