Which shelf for best smoke

I am going to smoke one brisket on a Pit Boss Pro Series 4 (Lowes). Is there a recommended shelf for best smoke?

I use the middle for everything on my vertical (near the door latch).

I just smoked a tri tip. Put it on the 2nd shelf, smoke tube on the bottom shelf.
Seemed to work well.

With a PBV4PS2 having smoke coming out of vents on 3 sides, I'd say anywhere is good. Top and bottom racks run a little warmer than the middle. I prefer the middle.

I put mine on the same shelf as the built in temp probe. After all, that's the temp you are trying to smoke at.

Where is the temp probe? I don't see one on mine. If you say "2nd shelf", is that counting from the top down or bottom up?

The temp probe is in the back right hand corner. I think it is around the second shelf from the top. It sticks out about 1 inch.
