i bought my smoker, ready to cook like my buddies with the Traeger' smokers, but mine always flamed up and burnt meat while they could if they wanted walked away and theirs never did. Why does pit boss smokers have such an issue with flame ups? Is there any fix for this or do i need to start over with a different brand?

do you clean out the fire pot every time you use it?
like with a shop vacuum? it needs to be clean every time!

I do clean out the fire pit every two times i use the smoker, and it still flares up, don know what i need to do differently, maybe cook in pans to make sure that there is no dripping going down

I just did a mod post. Of a solid heat plate I had made. Cannot flame up now. I had the same issue on my 1150. Hot spots and flame ups
