If you use the SmokeIT app and haven’t noticed there’s a contact number that takes you directly to the app support folks. It’s not Pit Boss, it’s the app folks. I’m guessing on contract with PB.
On the app…..More>support and contact.
If you get their voice system, the lady with the really cool deep Southern accent tells you to leave a number and they’ll call you back. They do what they say.
There you go in case you need it.

I don’t like using the smoke it app the last 2 times I used it I had some weird things going on. First one was my grill changed temps by itself. I had it on “s” and it went up to 400 for some odd reason. The second time which was today I figured I run the grill with the app and see how it performs with no food on it. So it was going nice until I went from 450 down to “s” setting I looked out the dinning room window and seen a lot of smoke lol. I went outside it was in the mid 300s with a blazing fire pot. It was on “s” setting so I closed the stack a little and manually clicked the “s” setting and it calmed down to 180. The times I used it before I mainly just watched the grill temp and probe temps. I just wanted to see how the grill controls worked. There seems to be a delay a pretty long delay from the smoker to the app. I’ll prolly just continue using it for monitoring the probes and grill temp without adjusting the controls with it.

Remote monitoring is a big convenience, especially in conjunction with nappy time.
