Im using the Lexington Grill, the temp. reading on the board is off by 50 to 75 degrees! I concurred this from the thermo on the lid and the Cook prob. Both would read the same. From what I can tell its due to the Drain grate shield. The shield has 4 or 5 slats allow a direct grilling over the Fire Box. When grill with them all open, then the reads closer within 10 degrees. Having said that then your meat will cook faster and burn! So trying to figure out the best way to solve this issue! When things are closed up it forces the heat to the two ends of the grate and you get the difference in temp. So anyone else with this issue out there with this issue? Im thinking of drilling holes in the Grate to allow the heat to rise vs. being forced out the ends!
