Temp is up. Why?

And the aftermarket controller voids your warranty.
If you’d call them they’d replaced it for free and you’d still have a warranty.
My smoker is well past its warranty period. Maybe they would've replaced the controller I fried. Don't really care at this point. The after-market replacement is much better than the original.

50 degree swings mean nothing. Its how long they stay there that matters.....
 
Wind is a big factor especially in windy North Dakota with temperature fluctuations. I try to keep mine out of strong wind. I need to make a foldable wind break.
I dont have a chimney. Mine has holes on the back. The back faces north so when the wind is out of the north it would really mess with the temp. I made a wind block out of sheet metal and its held on with magnets. Problem solved....
