The higher the temp, the less smoke, mine still smokes well up to 200, you don't visibly see as much smoke but I still end up with a nice smoke ring on the meat, this is what I get at 180.I have a Pit Boss Laredo 1000 and I know the S on my temp setting is for smoke. It only heats up to 145 degrees Fahrenheit in this mode. Is there a way to raise the temp but stay in smoke mode?
