Smoke mode and then temperature heat?

Don't have a US Amazon account anymore so can't access it, but get the idea as have just checked it out. Just seems strange to me, having a pellet smoker grill that you have to do this and take up more room on the grill! A nice guy (as you all are) on this forum suggested mixing the pellets with wood chips for a better smoke which I didn't know was possible. That makes more sense to me. As long as they're small of course to pass through the auger. Will check it out!
No the wood chips are mixed in with pellets in the smoke tube, not the large pellet bin. You will plug and possibly break the auger system if chips are put in there.

Here is images of my gas side supply pipe and broiler inlets. They are installed at the factory, just verify they are in the open position if you can. I have attached an image of my side burner screen air inlet for easier viewing, see how there is a screw that can be loosened and turn the screen to allow more opening , then tighten screw back in place. I am just guessing at why you maybe have less heat on the LP gas side ? You may need to take some items off to inspect that screens are adjusted in the fully open positions ?
