Silly problem

I have a 5 series copperhead smoker and I have it in spot that has a slight grade for drainage. My problem is that when I open the door the door doesn't stay still. I think it's the design of the smoker and not the grade. Anyway I have so many burns because the door touches my arm. I generally don't notice till later in the day. Like I said silly problem but wondering if anyone else experiences this.

These smokers have to be perfectly level side to side and front to back, doors are light. My PBV4PS2 will do this if it's slightly not level. I use it on a cement floor that is level and I have no issues.
