Pro series 2 1150

Hey guys, i just bought a pitboss pro series 2 1150 and it came with a damaged diffuser plate so I called pitboss to gwt it replaced but they are out of stock so my question was, is it still safe to use without the diffuser plate or should i just wait for pitboss to put it back on stock?

I don't think you need the plate at all.

Just got an 1150 myself and it didn't even come with a diffuser, I wonder did they just forget to supply it or have they done away with it.
