I am looking at these two smokers. Is the extra space a better value over the Wi-Fi capability? I have read that the Wi-Fi isn't really great and there have been some quality issues with the Pro Series II. I can't find any quality reviews of the Onyx edition

Hi js watson,
I have PBV5 COMP. I am firm believer in WIFI control. I also believe bigger is better!
I like a verticle that permits the use of a full hotel pan on each rack!
I can't weigh in on those particular models but...
Every time I fire up my smoker around a holiday my friends put in orders and when my smoker is hot, why not fill it!

I have the PBV4PS2 which we love and have no issues with it after I replaced the controller when it was brand new. Onyx is bigger I believe, depends on how much you have to smoke.

I have to say bigger is better. I love my series 3 vertical but it is just too small. Whenever I do a rack of ribs I have to cut them in half. It’s perfect for pork shoulders and such but the ribs are just a bit too long and don’t fit. Wi-Fi I could care less so that’s not a factor with me.
