Looking at getting either the Pit Boss Platinum Brunswick vs PRO SERIES ELITE 6 vertical smoker. The platinum cost $600 & the Pro Series is $900. Is the new controller with VST (variable smoke technology) worth the extra $300?? This is strictly fro smoking meat & not searing/hight temps.

Always can go with the PBV4PS2 from Lowe's for 500.00 which is the Brunswick's twin but smaller. I have it and love it.

As previously stated… the Brunswick has has multiple issues and well documented grease fires if the heat diffuser is not placed correctly and the lower heat diffuser not periodically removed and cleaned. It’s also being discontinued. Go with the Pro.

I’m only interested in those two models.
I watched this video yesterday.
This guy is using a Pit Boss Verticle that looks like a sweet rig, is this the one you are looking at?
If I was in the market this one would be my choice. I can't afford a Yoder...
I have an old PBV5 COMP that is serving me well but this guy's unit has the controller located properly.

That's the PBV4PS2 which is the smaller twin of the Brunswick. I love ours.
