Bought this about a month ago and have cooked three different times on a long cook. I normally run my temp at 225. Put meat in at night and was hoping to wake to my cook being almost done, but somewhere in that process, it stopped heating but auger continued to fill pot. This happened on all three cooks. I have cleaned everything out and I am going to try running it through a day and see if it cuts off again. Any ideas on this? I would appreciate it if anyone has had these issues, how did you correct it.

Yes, the hopper design is poor. More than likely the pellets stopped sliding down and caused it to flame out. Then they eventually fell and caused the fire pot to overflow snuffing out the flame. Every few hours I have to go out and "help" the pellets fall. That's why I removed the guard so I can stick my hand in there and move them. On my vertical smoker I use an old broom stick. That's another reason I don't do overnight cooks.

Thanks, I appreciate the help. Will just have to watch it a little closer I guess.
