PID Wi-Fi Controllers

Hello, I have a PB500NX grill with non wi-fi controller. I would like to upgrade to wi-fi. Pit Boss web site says takes a 80065 controller which lists as $129.99 and is out of stock.
My question is that Pit Boss has the 80064 controller which wiill fit a PB700NX and lists for only $79.99. Does anyone know the difference in the two controllers as I cannot see any
difference and could I plub it in to my PB500NX without any modifications or issues?

OK so after some research I have been informed that the 80064 PID Wi-Fi controller is a direct replacement upgrade for the Wal-Mart ver PB500NX stock PID controller. So those who have this grill and want a Wi-Fi / Bluetooth upgrade this is a much better price @ $79.99 than the 80065 @ $129.99 which is out of stock to boot!

OK folks, the 80064 PID WiFi/Bluetooth is an exact plug and play replacement for the stock controller. Received it Friday for my birthday, Installed it yesterday and checked operation perfectly except for WiFi connection. Connects fine through Bluetooth but when trying to set up WiFi in the app it will not even show any WiFi connections of the 3 systems I have and all have a strong signal where the grill is located. Guess I will be on the phone with Pit Boss this Monday. Bluetooth connection is useless for me, gotta have WiFi!

my complaint is I have the KC combo and my wifi connection was perfect before PB did that god awful app upgrade long time ago. Since then I have followed all the instructions and have never been able to log back in to the unit. There was nothing better than being able to monitor and control the smoker remotely. Has any other grillers had this problem?
