PB Champion Barrel smoker question

I am thinking of buying this drum smoker. Does anyone have it and can you tell me if its worth it? pro's and cons? thank you!
Dude for that price make your own. It's just a 55 gal drum. Very easy to do with parts from a hardware store.
Actually I'm fixin to drag a drum home to make me another one.

I just ordered a kit yesterday to build my own. I'm looking forward to the build and cooking on a different cooker.

You're gonna love it! The fat dripping down into hot coals gives a unique flavor.
I originally built one because I needed something bigger than my bullet smoker. I didn't have the money to buy a big smoker then. So a old 55gal paint thinner drum from the shop was the victim and hacked together. That was over 40 years ago.

I can't give you any answers, but I have one on the way. On sale for $699 right now. Was a bit of a toss-up between this and the Bronco Pro at first but that charcoal basket access tipped it.

That's what I did. I built my own. I love it. Great flavor from the charcoal and wood chunks as well as the fat dripping down and into the coals. I find that it runs a bit hotter, usually always just under 300 but you still get the great smoke flavor.
