Hi all from southeastern Virginia

I just bought a PB1100PSC2 to replace my rusted-out grill. I put it together myself, but I couldn't figure out how the spring goes in the battery compartment. I put it in one way, and it didn't work. Put it in a different way and it repeatedly fires a spark. Any helpful suggestions?

Thanks, Cowboy1955. I figured it out. The manual only shows the top and the battery, not the spring. When I laid the pieces out to take the picture, I realized the narrow end of the spring pushes into the top. I snapped it in, installed the battery, screwed the top on, and it worked
