new to pellet grillin

hi there just bought my first pellet grill, the lockhart. planning on grilling tomorrow did the first time burnoff before actually grillin. there are 2 knobs on the right side of unit the directions dont give any info on what they do or whats open or closed, can anyone tell me?

ok I took off the back panel and found out what those knobs are for they are actually a damper when they are pushed in they are closed good to know.
