Good Morning,
We are fairly new to smoking and purchased the Pit Boss Lexington as our first. So far loving it. My Son has been using it since last Saturday almost every night for supper. So far everything has come out great. Last night he cooked a whole chicken and it was delicious. Looking to learn from all of you and have already started taking notes.

Just got this PB1100PSC2 as a gift from my son. He's had one for a while and loves it! I already have a couple issues with it, but can't get a response from CS at all. Not good in my book.

Question: should the auger motor be "flopping around"?

Why do I have to be within 2 feet just to pair bluetooth, no connection to the grill at all.

Not happy at this time, but not telling the boy, lol.

Not sure about auger motor never had to even look mine. The whole bluetooth/wifi app made my 1150 do stupid chit with temps. Uninstalled apps from all devices and now use a stand alone wifi temp monitor. I have to physically turn the dial to change temps but they don't run away anymore.

I have a Lexington. Have used it probly a dozen times w/ diff meats. Finding tho that I am not getting the same smoke flavor from the pellets as I did with my last master built vertical smoker that used wood chunks. My old smoker with the wood chunks put some serious flavor on the meat. With the pellets everything tastes the same. Any suggestions or is this what to expect with a pellet smoker?

No the augar motor should not flop around. There should be a way to tighten it otherwise I'd be back onto the phone to Pitboss. They should either advise or send repair parts.

I remember having to be right near the smoker to do the setup but not afterward.

Good luck.

So they have installed your auger motor incorrectly. If you take a look the wires should be facing down. The motor is not square. It is rectangle. Once you move the auger motor to where the wires are down. oit will no longer flop around. It will sit on the little shelf below it. Same thing mine did. But mine was also running backwards and the motor was intermittent. Good luck. BTW, getting the motor turned around, is not fun.
