Picked up a PBV4PS2 , only have done some elk burgers on it ,some burnt ends and chicken thighs and lollipop chicken on it so far.
I'm not new to smoking I had a custom build sticker burner that I made however once I had kids I found it harder and harder to spent the time baby sitting it as well as the gentrification of my neighborhood I got complaints about the smoke and the smell.
Not entirely new to pellets grill either I used to have an extremely early on Traeger that I absolutely hated and ruined pellet grills for me. My deck is loaded up with weber products so naturally I bought a smokefire first that literally ended up on fire on my deck. My next plan was a rectec 700 but they stopped shipping to Canada so a buddy has one of these and after harassing him with questions I pulled the trigger on it.
There's definitely a modern learning curve with this but I can appreciate the general ease of use that comes with these smokers with the controllers.

Let’s hear about the burger prep and cooking on that model. Time? Temp? Tricks?

Not much to tell ran it on smoke for about a beer then went to 250 paying attention to the 40/140 rule but you shouldn't be anywhere near that. Then I slapped it on my charcoal weber for a sear pulled at 165.
