Just got 820d3. New to pellet grills

Hello all. Just got my PB820d3 on sale. I’ve been a charcoal and wood block guy. I’ve been considering a pellet grill for ease of use. Did my intitial burn off and lid temp dial only read 400 while I had box set at 450 then bumped up to 475. The box temp read same as set temp but lid dial read 50-75 degrees lower. It was about 50 outside with a light breeze. Is this normal? Still gonna try a smoked Turkey in a week tho.

First, welcome to the forum! And yes it is common for pitboss smokers to run about 50 degrees off from the temp you set.
