Is Smoke Daddy Heavy D too large for Pit Boss PRO SERIES 1100 WOOD PELLET & GAS COMBO GRILL?

I have a Pit Boss Pro Series 1100 combo grill being delivered in a day or two. I've read the pellet grills don't smoke enough to do slow cook and to give a good smoke ring and flavor. I've seen mods where people simply throw a smoke tube in and call it a day. I'm looking to do the Smoke Daddy Heavy D, but after talking to Dallas at Smoke Daddy, he thinks the grill may be too small for the Heavy D. He's just going by what the description on the Pit Boss site shows for the grill. There aren't any measurements, so he's not 100% positive. He says, it "looks" too small.

Does anyone that has a combo unit have a Smoke Daddy Heavy D on their grill? I'd like to get some feedback.

Thanks!

I have the PB1150PS2 You might be surprised with how much smoke flavor you can get with just the grill and pellet choice. Just have to add some time to your cooks while you run it in smoke mode.
I do add a smoke tube with wood chips mixed in occasionally.

I've been using a smoke daddy for about a year. It fits well if you order it specifically for Pit boss smokers. And the heat distribution is very good.
I had a brief conversation with Danny at Smoke Daddy regarding the Heavy D. Being my grill is a combo, the Heavy D would make my grill run very hot, so advised I get the Big Kahuna smoker to add to my grill instead. The wife bought me the Big Kahuna for Christmas, so I'm waiting to see how that goes. Fingers crossed.
