I think I've found the smokiest pellets out there!

I ordered some Smokin' Pecan pellets this week. I heard they were a "game changer" for smokey flavor on a pellet smoker. Most "game changers" don't live up to the hype BUT these pellets actually live up to the name. They aren't made out of wood. They are made from pecan shells. I did a 3-2-1 rib smoke today to try the pellets out and they gave a nice smoke ring on the ribs and the flavor was wonderfully smoky. Honestly I've been disappointed with most of the pellets because of the lack of smokiness but Smokin' Pecan brand pellets have won me over. I'm going to go to Costco and get a brisket to try next. - They are expensive, though! Much more expensive than a Pit Boss pellet or Bear Mountain. I'll still use these for a regular grill. When I want a good smoky flavor, I'm a Smokin Pecan brand convert.

I’ve used the Smokin’ Pecan also. Incredible mahogany color on the meat and smoke ring is very prominent. I’ve gotten smoke from these pellets at 350 degrees, with the sweet spot around 250-275.
I’ve also mixed them with Bear Mountain hickory or pecan to help balance cost.
However, if you have a weak auger motor best not to use them. The pellets are very hard and I’ll often hear my auger motor struggling to feed these pellets.
Overall, completely recommend them.
