I have not gotten my pro850 yet, but my birthday is around the Corner and hubby said it would be a great upgrade from the 13 year old charcoal/wood grill smoker I have now. I’m just trying to learn some stuff before I pull the trigger. cause I know once it is here, I’m gonna wanna be playing with it and not reading about it. Welcome to the group. Please read your owner’s manual when you get your new unit. Each grill is a little different on start up. I too came from the stick burner side & got the KC Combo.

Fasten your seat belt and enjoy the flight. I have an 850 for a few months and have found it does a good job smoking, I like the searing, only wish it was larger, it does work. Have some rust that I am watching and not overly pleased with.
