Hi all! Just ordered a PB 3 Series Vertical Pellet Smoker (Menards version). I'm new to pellets. Started with a "ECB" (El Cheapo Brinkmann ;)charcoal smoker) about 8 years ago as a work award selected from an online catalog. Had ZERO experience. Modified it before I even used it as recommended in another forum. Made it operate much like a Weber Smokey Mountain. I've had some very satisfying experiences with my Brinkmann. Love the challenge but am finding that as I get older I am using it less often because of the full day commitment. Don't get me wrong... I'm retired and have the time but spending most of that time adjusting airflow to maintain temp get's pretty tedious, especially in our climate. I did a lot of research thinking I would go with an electric smoker but found that most of them had a lot of bad reviews. Many complained about not being able to maintain high enough temps (especially bad in MN!) and several pointed out that you don't get a smoke ring, all of which made me look further. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I made a good choice and I'm anxious to learn from those of you with experience!

Welcome to the PB forum.

Welcome to the forum .you will enjoy the pellet smoker much better than feed the chips or chunks I have a PB 4 and I sum it up as to use it push the button and give it a peanut its that easy .may I suggest to go on amazon and order your self a smoke tube it is well worth the added smoke flavor that you dont get from a pellet smoker best luck and happy smoking
