This thing hasn't demonstrated any of the list of "issues" many have reported. I've had it over two years and been quite pleased. Until this afternoon when I plugged it in, turned it on to start as I always have. Walked back in house to let it do its thing.

20 minutes later, went back to check - nothing going on but fan blowing. Control display all looks normal. So I pull the grates and the big metal (rusty) shield thing and the little fire cup is overflowing with pellets... but doing nothing but getting fuller. Put a wireless temp probe on the igniter and it was the same temp as the air (90 degrees). Vaccumed out the fire cup, then plugged it back in, turned power on - and it began churning pellets into the cup again... but again, the igniter didn't heat up.

What's next?

Ignitor is bad. Call Pit Boss and they will send a new one. They are pretty easy to change out.
