Gas igniter AA battery spring broken

Hi everyone,

Grill: Pro Series II 1100 Gas/Pellet Combo

I put together my grill yesterday and when I plugged the AA battery into the igniter button, the igniter doesn't spark. I pulled the battery out and the spring was a little bent but everything fits very snugly, so I don't believe it's a connection issue.

Any tips here on what I can do to fix this so I don't have to manually light the grill each time?
