Okay I have a new 1150 pro 2. I have a few smokes in on it and it is work just fine. My last smoke I said it on s for about 2 hours and when I checked on it the temperature was 122 and dropping. It turns out that the fire pot was overflowing with pellets. I cleaned everything out and started again and it seemed fine. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

An older thread, but maybe something here you could use https://www.pitbossforum.com/threads/problem-of-frequent-flameouts.56/
Maybe try posting what pellet brand you used as well to see if it might be quality of pellets. Also perhaps research "flame outs"
Thanks because my suspicion is on the pellets. I bought smokehouse brand from Sam's. As I looked at these pellets I saw yellow and when I pulled those pallets it was corn. I mean what kind of quality can you have if corn is in your pellets? I only bought them because I saw good reviews on these pellets but I really have to wonder. I have always had a stick burner and now this is my first pellet smoker. So there are some new things to learn. I did not pay a lot for these pellets so I don't mind dumping the rest of them. I use pit Boss before with no problems. I will check out your information and appreciate it!

Interesting, I just opened a bag from Sam's on Saturday and it seemed to do OK. I didn't look at the pellets tho. I'll take a look this weekend and see if there is any "yellow" in the pellets. They also have a hickory/oak blend and I have been wanting to try those too. Have only heard good things about the pellets at Sam's.

I bought these pellets because the good reviews. Look through them for real good and with very good lighting. Pick them up in your hand and run them through your fingers. Look for bright yellow. It is not a lot of yellow pillows but for the amount I find it makes me wonder about the true quality. My question is how the heck does corn get in quality pellets? Remember I am not saying it is a huge amount but it does make you wonder if even a small amount gets into their pellets. Makes me wonder if they are putting it in as a filler. Anyway I will not be using these pellets anymore. These are the third brand that I may have used and the first time that I had a flame out or any problem at all. YouTubers have been saying pellets can cause a flame out. So as of now I am just in the testing stages and we'll go back to what I used before pit Boss. I do appreciate the serious input from those trying to help.
