It's not a Pit Boss but it looks like a nice grill. I know many people here have more than one grill/smoker. I don't need another one myself ( I have 3 and another just isn't in the cards). The new gravity fed grill from Chargriller looks pretty cool. Anderson's Smokeshow has a nice rundown on this grill (he also has a ton of Pit Boss cooking videos that are helpful.

Bought one and received it on Friday. Assembled it myself in about 2 hours (probably wouldn't suggest this, I'm 30 and in pretty good shape and still struggled with the weight), everything was correct except for one mislabeled set of screws on one of the steps. Did a burn in on Friday night and seasoned it Saturday morning before smoking some spare ribs on Saturday afternoon. Haven't burned it above 450 degrees yet, but it got to that temp in less than 10 minutes. Held 225 and then 250 rock solid the entire time the ribs were on (6 hours, 3 at each temp) and the ribs came out fantastic using a couple of hickory chunks in the ash pan. Really, really pleased with it so far, truly was set it and forget it simple for that cook.

Thanks for sharing, I have been interested in gravity fed charcoal grills since I first saw the Masterbuilt last year. The Chargriller looks to be a tank! I checked at Lowe's last weekend and they did not have any (not that it would matter, if they did I still wouldn't have bought one because I don't need any more grills but it would have been nice to get my hands on it and check one out with my own eyes).

If that gravity fed market takes off I can see Pit Boss doing one of their own... Pellet grills have taken off and I see a lot of brands this year. Expert Grill (Walmart brand) and CuisinArt now makes one or two pellet grills.

I ordered it on June 1st, so it took a full 10 days to get delivered. They're scarce in store in my area too, they seem to be selling really well.

Really wanted to like the Pit Boss Pro 1150, but wasn't willing to gamble that they'd have a flashed controller to send me and I'm hoping that the Char Griller will allow me to get rid of my gas grill given how quickly it gets to temp and how hot it goes.
