Butt on the 1150

Put my first butt on the 1150 at 6:30 today. Lets see if this smoker is worth it's salt. Need to see how this smoker does for longer smokes. I have a brisket planned for next week. Tried loading the Smoke IT app and it sucks miserably, lets hope the smoker doesn't too.

Impressive results! How long did you smoke and how long did you use the crutch? I smoked a butt on my 820 PS for 18 hours. It was wrapped for the last 6.
 
The butt cooked from 6:30 am, wrapped at 1:50 in the afternoon at 160° and came off at 185° at a little after 4 maybe 4:15 p.m. I wrapped it in a towel for 1 hour and pulled about 5:30 for dinner.

Plenty of time to drink beer! I started mine at 6:00 pm so pulled an all-nighter because I did spritz mine once an hour. I got beyond the stall to about 170 before wrapping mine. I like your use of the foil pan and cooling, er, I mean, grilling rack. Much less clean up. :cool:
