Birthday smoke fest…what rub…and chillin

So my birthday is next week and I’m trying to find a brisket I’m in Michigan and I can’t find any sales I see in other groups lol so 90 bucks it is I guess….what’s everyone favorite brisket rub?
What sides go good with brisket ? I was thinking Mac and cheese but love new ideas

I used to use Sucklebusters Texas brisket rub. It is really good, but I now just make my own SPG rub. I really like the flavor and the bark I get with that.As far as sides I usually smoke some potatoes, carrots or some kind of root vegetable. If you go with Mac and cheese throw it on the smoker and stir it up every half hour or so to get the smoke flavor throughout. And Happy birthday in advance!
