Ash tray clean out holes don’t line up

I picked up 4v2 at Lowe’s. It was already assembled. I noticed the ash tray clean clean out was not all the installed but did not say anything. After getting the smoker home I could not get it closed all the way. I noticed the ignition and auger was slightly below the holes. Is there a way to adjust?

I'd call Pit Boss 1-877-303-3134 option 2. It should slide right in , and a thumbs screw to lock it in place underneath.

I had the exact same problem with my PBV4PS2. I called support but their only advice was to take the legs off and rebuild the smoker. I have no idea what the theory was that this would suddenly make the holes for the auger and igniter line up, but that was all they could offer.
Pit Boss would not allow me to return the unit even though it is only 3 months old and told me to deal with Lowes from where I purchased it. Lowes told me to deal with Pit boss.

My advice is to go with another maker who hopefully will stand behind their product.
