My daughter works for a large x-ray company here and she sees people all the time with the broken metal bristles they had ingested having to get x-rays, cat scans or mri's. Sad but true, I threw mine away years ago.

heavy duty aluminum foil wrapped into a ball works good. Just spray the grill with cooking spray while still warm and rub it down with the foil ball.

I use the Pitboss grill brush with the wooden bristles for this reason

WARNING .true story I work with a guy many years ago past away from a infection caused by a wire brush used on a grill for cleaning he had a wire get caught in is throat .I only use brass short bristle brush on my BBQ grill and PB

I stopped using wire years ago, I used Char Broil brushes with Nylon bristles but just recently picked up the Pit-BOss
