Hello!
I just got it as my first pellet grill. Read up a lot on it. I guess the Lowe's $$$ one comes with a cover. My $137 clearance Wallfart one didn't. I can't find one on PB web site. I just want a cover because this will be used for tent camping, and I don't want to have to put it away every time it looks like rain. My burn off went well with no hopper smoking. I'm wondering if the fan surging up and down constantly when it's just maintaining heat level is normal. It seems to run 15-20 degrees low during low heat. 35-40 degrees at 400. That's ok as long as it's consistent I suppose. Thanks for any help. Sorry about such a needy first post :)

After a couple of beers I'm thinking about "lift grill up, slide large black trash bag over it and tie it shut" as a solution. This will also keep the pellets in the hopper from getting moist.

Also may keep it from becoming a target. I have lost 2 cook stoves and a lantern in NP Campgrounds.

I really wanted to say It was a smokin deal but I refrained almost congrats

Thanks for the replies. I use this silly web site called Brickseek. It searches Wally World store inventory for you. My local stores didn't even show the PB 150 in stock, but it showed me all stores that really had it, and the price at each store so I knew who had it on clearance. If I'd have paid full price my wife would have given me dirty looks. But since I can say 'It was 45% off!" she will let me slide :) Here's an example link that shows the Austin at $297 in my area. https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker?sku=793230399 Just put in your zip code. Click the SKU finder button to find what you want to search for.

So is the fan doing a fast/slow/fast sound all the time normal when it's just maintaining heat? I guess I don't really care. It seems to work good! I also just ordered a couple of small stainless grate things to use on the top of it to make moving stuff easy. And a pair of heavy silicone gloves. I'm fat though. The last thing I need is more good food. Maybe I can use this to make my friends fat, so I look skinny?

Joe, go to Amazon and get this one, Grisun Grill Cover for Pit Boss 820 Series, Pro Series 850, Anti-Fade Waterproof Pellet Grill Cover, Durable 600D Fabric, Drawstring Design for Fix, Fabric Handles for Easy Put On and Take Off, Black https://a.co/d/4iKF2nK Find one by this manufacturer that fits your pit boss. I made the mistake of buying one from Menards and it ripped into pieces first rain storm we got. This one is less expensive and three times thicker. I ended up getting one for my propane grill as well. has stood up to midwest winter weather no problem.

I also just ordered a couple of small stainless grate things to use on the top of it to make moving stuff easy. I love my fish baskets and grates for cooking burgers, steaks, etc

I'm fat though. The last thing I need is more good food. Maybe I can use this to make my friends fat, so I look skinny? This is all about the meats my friend and meats dont make ya fat;)
I bought a cover for my Lexington off of ebay. OEM PitBoss and it was not easy to find. Got a good price on it and I believe you could pull trucks outta the mud with it. Thick and crazy tough.

Just paid less than that at Wally World for two of them. And they came with REALLY nice fitted covers. Was yours a previous return?
